SA Home Loans has three shareholders: Standard Bank Group Limited (50%), the Public Investment Corporation (authorised representative of the Government Employees Pension Fund) (25%) and Bolatja Hlogo Consortium (25%), giving our home loans business significant credibility and ensuring that our clients can have complete confidence in placing their mortgages with us.

STANDARD BANK GROUP LIMITED
Standard Bank Group is one of the largest banks in South Africa and a global financial player, operating in 38 countries of which 17 are in Africa. The Group thus offers strong expertise in emerging markets, coupled with a global outlook.
Listed on the JSE Limited and the Namibian Stock Exchange, the Group had total assets of over R756 billion (approximately US$119 billion) at December 31, 2005, and a world-wide staff complement of over 40 000. THE PUBLIC INVESTMENT CORPORATION (authorised representative of the Government Employees Pension Fund)
The Public Investment Corporation (“PIC”) is the primary investment manager of the Government Employees Pension Fund (“GEPF”) and as one of Africa’s largest investment managers had more than R1.4 trillion in assets under management at 31 March 2013. PIC has a significant mandate from GEPF to invest in assets with a positive developmental impact.
The GEPF is Africa’s largest pension fund, with R1.2 trillion in assets and more than 1.6 million members and beneficiaries at 31 March 2013. GEPF is the single largest investor in JSE listed companies and has significant holdings in government bonds, property and unlisted investments. GEPF is a champion of responsible investing both in South Africa and on the African continent, with a commitment to a developmental investment strategy.

The Bolatja Hlogo Consortium is a broad-based BEE consortium funded by GEPF, whose shareholders have extensive experience in the financial services sector and significant experience and interests in mixed income and affordable housing development amongst their investments.

Kevin Penwarden B Compt. (Hons); CA (SA)
Chief Executive Officer
Kevin’s career began after several achievements as one of the top ten chartered accountant students in the country. He has held numerous senior management positions in the financial services industry and joined SA Home Loans in 2002 as an executive director and Chief Operating Officer. He came to us from Flemings Southern Africa where he was MD and senior country officer, with duties that included stock broking, asset management and merchant banking. His extensive experience in the insurance and financial services industries brings both a solid operational management and sound strategic influence to SA Home Loans.
Rob Kelso B.Com (Hons), CA (SA)
Chief Operating Officer
Rob is a Chartered Accountant by training, having specialised in the financial services sector with a specific focus on securitisation & debt origination services.
He joined SA Home Loans in 2005, and previously served as CFO of the group for 10 years. In his role as COO he has responsibility for operational execution of group strategies, with executive oversight of the operational business units, as well as the Finance; IT; human resources; risk & compliance functions.
Crispin Swainston Harrison B.Com, B.Compt (Hons), ACMA, CA (SA), PGDipM
Executive Director: Sales and Marketing
A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Marketer, Crispin has extensive experience (local and international) in financial services companies in both the treasury and retail divisions. He is a founding member of SA Home Loans and has operated as a key member of the executive team in nearly all divisions. He currently heads up marketing and all sales channels.
Matthew Mutch B.Com (Hons), CA (SA)
Chief Financial Officer
Matthew is a Chartered Accountant who completed his articles within the Deloitte financial institutions services team. In March 2007 he joined SA Home Loans to manage the treasury team whose focus, following the credit crisis, was the diversification of funding sources for the SAHL Group. This role enabled him to garner extensive experience in the origination and execution of structured finance deals. In 2009 he joined the MANCO team and in 2013 his role was expanded such that it incorporated the management of the treasury, finance and analytics teams. He was promoted to the EXCO team as CFO in March 2017.
Guy Saville B.Com (Hons), CA (SA)
Director: Information Technology and Systems
Guy’s responsibilities combine new business initiatives and product development with IT systems development and technical infrastructure. His career has been a mix of business and IT management, with a strong banking influence. After eight years of international business and consulting experience gained in the UK and USA, he returned to South Africa and joined NBS Bank where he became General Manager: Information Technology. He then became a member of the Mortgage Loans executive team where he was responsible for all IT and mortgage support services at NBS/BOE. Guy joined SA Home Loans at the beginning of 2004.
Tim Bean BSc (Hons), MSc, FFA, FASSA
Tim is an Actuary who has spent most of his career specialising in life and short term assurance. His particular experience includes three years in actuarial consulting and 20 years in senior roles within leading Bancassurance businesses. Tim joined SA Home Loans in 2005 with the mandate of the Managing Director to establish SA Home Loans’ own life assurance company. In 2006 SA Home Loans also decided to establish its own Short Term Insurance Company and, following the successful launch of SA Home Loans Life, Tim was given the similar mandate to set up SA Home Loans Insurance Company which was launched in December 2006. His experience, as part of the Executive Committee of the SAHL Group, extends across a wide range of responsibilities within both the Home Loans and Insurance businesses.
Colin Young B.Com, B.Agric Management
Director: Loss Control and Insurance Operations
Colin holds a B.Com with majors in economics and business administration as well as a B Agric Management degree and has 25 years of operations experience. Of these nine were spent in charge of operations with a leading Bancassurer. Colin joined SA Home Loans in 2005 as Chief Operating Officer of our life assurance company which he helped establish. He was also involved in setting up SA Home Loans Insurance Company which was launched in December 2006. The following year Colin joined the executive team of SA Home Loans where he held the portfolio of Operations Director. In 2014, Colin was appointed to the role of Director: Loss Control and Insurance Operations.
Zakheni Dlamini B.Com (Hons), CA (SA)
Director: Business Development
Zakheni is a Chartered Accountant with over 12 years financial services experience and has also completed the Bankseta International Executive Development Programme. Zakheni joined SA Home Loans in 2007 as Risk Manager. In 2013, he was promoted to EXCO and took on the additional portfolio of affordable housing, leading the successful entry of SA Home Loans into the affordable housing market. Following his appointment as Director of Business Development in August 2015, he retains overall responsibility for the growth and performance of the affordable housing business unit as well as championing new market opportunities and strategic partnerships with the GEPF and GEHS.
Rashnee Pawaar B.Soc Sc
Rashnee holds B. Soc Sc with majors in Psychology and honours in Social Work, and also completed the Management Advanced Programme (MAP) at Wits Business School. Having started her career as a clinical social worker for Child Welfare, she later also became involved with grassroots community development work of informal settlements in the broader Durban area. Her career then moved to corporate business where she has accumulated 19 years of experience in both General Business Management and Human Resource Management in different industries, including retail (FMCG), banking/financial, pharmaceutical and the movie industry. Rashnee joined SA Home Loans in March 2008 as HR Director, moving to become Operations Director in April 2016.
Nandi Manentsa B. Com (Hons) Industrial Psychology, MBA
Director: HR and Learning & Development
Nandi cut her teeth in core banking operations, but soon moved into people management practices. Her work experience of over twenty years includes financial services, communications / technology and the automotive retail sector. She joined SA Home Loans in April 2016.
Sipho Reginald Dlamini B.Com, Postgrad Cert Adv Taxation, MBA
Director: Risk & Compliance
Sipho holds a B.Com degree, Post Graduate Certificate in Advanced Taxation, Advanced Diploma in Financial Management, and Masters in Business Administration. He also completed an Advanced Leadership Development Programme through UKZN. He has 19 years work experience gained from the financial services and higher education sectors, local government, Petrochemical and sugar industries, where he occupied various Accountant roles, Finance Manager and Director for financial services. He joined SA Home Loans in April 2016. In his role as Director: Risk & Compliance, his responsibilities include enterprise risk, legal and compliance, internal audit and fraud investigations.
Jeanette Sejamoholo B. Com (Finance), Postgrad Diploma Investment Management
Jeanette has over 18 years of experience in the financial services industry, having started her career at Nedbank and Cadiz Investment Bank and then moving to the public sector. She was Head of Risk at the South African Reserve Bank (SARB), where she worked from 2001 and held other positions as a dealer, a risk analyst and risk manager. She also worked at the Development Bank of Southern Africa (DBSA) as a Market Risk Specialist. Her experience in Risk Management covers market, credit and operational risks, governance as well as compliance. She joined SA Home Loans in November 2017.
