We came rather late to SAHL having been through the clutches of a major bank! My husband and I own a small but pretty house and bought it in need of much renovation. This has meant frequent dips into the bond to maintain and renovate. As our bond was paid directly from my husbands salary, we were unaware, when his salary payment date was moved to the 15th of the month, that this would impact our payments. The bank did not inform us until we had accumulated arrears! A very frustrating experience. We changed to SAHL and have not looked back. They are informative, helpful and the on-line access to applications and statements makes it impossible not to know where you stand. My dealings over the phone with customer service have been outstanding. Hats off to a great company and I recommend you to all my friends.
